A little more than a year before their big day, Ashley and Manoj reached out to us to see if we may be the right fit to tell their story. After listening to them share what they felt was an ideal way to capture their connection we came up with a few ideas on how we can make their story visually clear.
Their wedding day was going to be full of religious and cultural festivities and the couple opted not to have a first look but rather keep things traditional. The first time Manoj would see Ashley on their wedding day would be as she enters the church along side her parents. This meant we wouldn’t have time for portraits of the couple prior to the ceremony, and after there would be very limited time for us to sneak away for some alone time prior to the launch of the reception. We felt it was best to have an engagement session with both photo and video on site so we can capture their connection without the the time constraints of a busy wedding day.
The session gave our team a chance to really get to know the couple individually and together. We goofed around, explored Brooklyn and got a few nice shots in between. The video footage would ultimately be used in their highlight film mixed into their wedding and reception footage. Our goal was to show the multiple facets of their relationship, from being a fun loving outgoing couple, to being devoted to their church and their strong family bonds.
With the support of family and friends as well as a list of quality driven vendors, their wedding day was awesome. Thank you Ashley and Manoj for allowing us to capture your wedding day with creative freedom.
