A few years back I had the pleasure of photographing Ruchit and Puja’s wedding over at the Rockleigh here in New Jersey. At their wedding I met Kev, Ruchit’s younger brother, who mentioned he may be needing my services some time in the future. Fast forward a few years and in comes the call. Kev and Jalpa have been together for about 11 years now and in just a few weeks they are going to tie the knot!
For their engagement shoot, Jalpa absolutely had to shoot at Sandy Hook Beach in NJ. She was most excited about the view of NYC from the beach, which was….. rather interesting. We started our session off around Fort Hancock, along the western rocky shore and slowly moved our way onto Sandy Hook’s South Beach. We got super lucky as it was not crowded and we were able to enjoy our session without having to rush. That’s the benefit of starting extra early in the morning. Once we wrapped up at the beach, there was one more spot we had to visit.
We stopped by the Old Bridge football field for a few photos of where it all started. 11 years is a lot of history, and I knew I had to have 1 photo that tells the very beginnings of their story. Thank you Jalpa and Kev for trusting my vision, the photos came out awesome and I cannot wait for you wedding in less than 1 month!
A super special thank you to Rishi for coming through big time and managing lighting for the day =)
