Kinjal and Vishal Engaged in New Jersey | Chutney Manor

February 14th, 2012

Kinjal and Vishal celebrated their engagement at the Chutney Manor in New Jersey along side their friends and family. With a sudden snow storm taking over the tri-state area, we were worried they may have to cancel. Believe it or not, even with the snow the guests managed to arrive on time! ON  TIME, not late! For a South Asian event, it was something out of the ordinary. Anyway, we had a ton of fun photographing their special day. Vishal has a great sense of humor, when he got down on one knee he surprised Kinjal with a plate of carrots! All jokes aside, when he placed the ring on her finger you can see how happy they both are.

New York City Engagement Shoot

December 13th, 2011

New York City is such a great location for engagement shoots, especially when the weather is just right. Jasmine and Rony were vacationing in NYC (by way of Germany) when Rony popped the question at the top of the Empire State Building looking over NYC. Well done!

We had planned a shoot months in advance but were running out of days before their departure due to crazy amounts of rain. The morning prior to their flight we trekked all over NYC to capture this amazing set of engagement photos. I met with Jasmine and Rony in Central Park bright and early so we can get some great intimate shots prior to the thousands of dog walkers, joggers, bicyclists and skaters took over the park. We got so lucky with the weather, it was just right for shooting. They got the celebrity treatment from the locals! Gotta love New York!

After Central Park, we took the subway into Brooklyn and got comfy in DUMBO. A quick change of clothes into something a little less formal set the mood for a few casual shots. Once we finished shooting we had a quick bite and walked the Brooklyn Bridge back into NYC, and then headed to Time Square for some must have photos in the center of it all. Of course, one more of clothes is a must, so we had to find a place – which is quite a task in the city.

The moment I snapped the last photo Jasmine and Rony had to run to get their bags and head to the airport! I am so glad we were able to spend some time together, it was a pleasure capturing them in the glow of their engagement. You can really sense the chemistry between them, its the way they look at one another and kind of speak with just little gestures…take a look for yourself – enjoy the pics!

Neetu & Preet Part II : Reception at the Hyatt Regency Long Island

November 30th, 2011

East meets West (as in NYC and LA) at this one of a kind reception at the Hyatt Regency in Long Island New York. Neetu and Preet put together an amazing event with the help of  The Design House . Special thanks goes out to Hasina from The Design House who kept this massive event streamlined and seamless. Without their help it this 500+ guest event would have been far to much to handle! All the little details really made this event unique – we loved the tables were given names of areas in LA and NY rather than numbers! Very cool. The decor, centerpieces and stage all complimented Neetu’s outfit, without making it look too monotone. Preet did an amazing job with the engagement and weddings rings, I had to put up 2 photos. Check out the pics below!

We had our photo booth out at this event and wow the guests really went crazy inside! The largest group was more than 15 people! If you have the password, check out the photo booth pics.

Priti & Bhaumik Engaged at the Chutney Manor in New Jersey

October 1st, 2011

A mini wedding. That’s what they are, we just call them engagements. Hundreds of guests, live DJ, huge choreographed dance peformances, beautiful decor and centerpieces, an open bar and an invite to the after party….sounds like more than just small get together. Within the past few years we have seen the trend of having large scale engagement ceremonies only get larger. Priti and Bhaumik’s engagement was no different.

Bhaumik reached out to the management at the Chutney Manor in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, and sealed the venue for their special event. Sangeeta Thiveaud was brought on the project to provide decor and the over all layout to accomodate the number of guests, while keeping the dance floor area clear and open for performances.

If you are wondering about Priti’s picture perfect hair and make-up, she was pampered by Deepu Patel.

To keep the guests on the dance floor, our couple called in the experts DJ/MC team a Absolute Desi. How did they do? Check out the photos of the dance floor. Packed! With a fresh mix of Indian favorites, classics and pop the party was non stop.

As for the couple, they are fun loving folks who have a very hard time looking at each other without smiling and laughing. Awesome.

Congrats Bhaumik and Priti!

Congrats! Custom Metal Print Winner!

September 15th, 2011

So a little while back we made the announcement about our latest product, the Metal Print. It is really something extraordinary and you really have to see it to understand.

The photo is printed directly onto a sheet of metal, giving it a very unique type of brilliance and shine. Congrats to Merene and Cyril for getting the most votes during our contest and winning the 16×20 print! Here is a quick image of the art piece being displayed during their wedding reception at the New Brunswick Hyatt in New Jersey.

Metal prints are great for wedding photos, engagement pictures, special events or portraits. These prints look great mounted on to the wall individually or in clusters.

Check out this awesome wall from an Indian wedding at the Hyatt in Princeton, New Jersey. Indian wedding photos generally consist of colorful arrangements and garments. They really pop on metal.
