07.25.09 – Payal and Kunal’s Wedding Extravaganza

Friday, July 31st, 2009

We had all our equipment locked and loaded for the final day of Payal and Kunal’s phenominal three day wedding. We started at 8AM for some preparation shots—a MUST HAVE for any girl getting married. Payal was up super early getting ready while Kunal was watching cartoons television in his room on the other end of the corridor. Men have it so easy. The outside space of the Sheraton Mahawh provided a well manicured landscape to get some amazing shots during the wedding. It was a hot and sticky July afternoon with the sun blaring down. Luckily, the staff of Sheraton provided stations of icy cold water at two ends of the mandap area. It gets really tough shooting Indian wedding photography for 16 hours straight! Regardless of the afternoon sun, we still managed to get some great shots of the bride/groom and their wedding. These two are real troopers, under their heavy outfits they sat still and in the heat, and maintained a pleasant outlook throughout the ceremeony. I guess love would do that to you…

07.26.09 – Priti and Biren’s Wedding Addison Park Indian Wedding Photography

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

The weekend isn’t over yet! After an over the top 3 day celebration for Payal & Kunal’s wedding, we still have one more wedding before the weekend is over! Priti and Biren selected one of the nicest venues in Nj for their wedding. The Addison Park hosted their wedding and reception. With a fear of rain the couple decided to hold their wedding indoors. We were hired to cover just the details, and another team imported from overseas was in charge of the formals. Indian wedding photography sometimes requires more than 1 shooter. When we photograph Indian weddings we always go as a team. This allowed us to get creative and capture all the little things the main photography team was not able to grab. It also allowed us to frame and compose without worry of time, and those annoying lists of shots that “have to be taken.” Priti & Biren had an emotional wedding, you can see their feelings in their faces. After the wedding the couple got dressed for the reception as the team downstairs was redecorating the hall for the evening. With the DJ pointing the monogrammed spotlight on the dance floor, the party officially began. Check out our pics!

07.24.09 – Payal and Kunal’s Garba Night

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

The day two of their three day wedding, the grounds were shaking and the night was full of energy with the live music and every one dancing at the Sheraton in Mahwa, NJ. But before all the craziness started, the couple saved a little time allowing us to have an on site studio lighting setup to get amazing formal shots. Indian wedding photography is a broad term and we are hoping we can break the stereotype of poorly lit, awkward posed photos fixed with crazy special effects with something more clean and modern.

07.23.09 – Payal and Kunal’s Mehndi Night

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

It was a cool rainy Thursday night at the Royal Palace, White Plains, NY where Payal and Kunal kicked off their amazing three day wedding event. You may remember this couple from their Engagement Party in April. They had an intimate mehndi night where family and friends got together for some good company, food, music and the girls got their mehndi done. Indian wedding photography sometimes spans multiple days, and this couple’s wedding is a great example of all the memories that can be captured and share forever. This is just the beginning of their awesome wedding weekend. The couple had great chemistry with each other and with us. They are so photogenic and were always ready to take a shot!

04.04.09 – Payal and Kunal’s Engagement

Monday, April 6th, 2009

The wedding season is coming around and what better way to start the season than with a engagement party. This was no ordinary engagement party, it compares to most people’s weddings! Payal & Kunal got engaged at the Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle, New York. The mansion is amazing! The hall is well maintained, with huge floor to ceiling windows overseeing the Long Island Sound. Just a short walk out of their venue and you are on the beach. This place is great for photos! Payal and Kunal are a great looking couple with chemistry that is very easy to see. They were a breeze to photograph. Check out some snaps from the evening:

Sapana and Rupak 07.05.08 Addison Park Indian Wedding

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

Usually, when you are the guy with the camera in your family or friend circle, you are the one who is always expected to shoot at all the functions. Not the situation with these guys. I actually had to ask Sapana and Rupak if they didn’t mind me shooting a few snapshots during their amazing Indian wedding. Being as cool as they are, they let me bring some cameras to their wedding. Being that I was not the hired, professional photographer, I of course introduced myself to the Pro and asked if they were okay with me shooting. They gave me the go ahead and I stayed out of their way! Here goes some Indian wedding photography from their special day.
