5 things to consider when hiring your wedding photographer

May 1st, 2009

After meeting and greeting numerous Bride and Grooms, we are shocked to hear how photography is received to the general public. People seem to put their trust into wedding magazines, uncle’s with fancy cameras and albums/prints from the drug store. Let’s take a step back and make a proper checklist of what to consider for when hiring a wedding photographer.

#5 – Your needs

What would you like? Everyday we get e-mails and phone calls about people asking me a very vague question…”How much do you charge for a regular wedding?” The answer is simple, check out our pricing! We are one of the very few photographers who actually put their pricing online, available to all. We don’t want to waste your time and rather have all of our information available to you, and everyone for that matter. Our packages are based on what most of our clients purchase, we can easily create a custom package for you, but we have to know what you would like first! If you have an idea of what type of photos you would like, that may help out when figuring out how many hours of service you require. If you know you must have photos of the bride getting dressed early in the morning at 8:00am, and you want photos at the reception until midnight, you know you want at least 16 hours of service. Would you like albums? Would you like albums for your parents? We’d love to layout and design your wedding in a storybook format that you will cherish for the rest of your lives! Once we have an idea of what it is you would like, we can easily give you a quote.

04.04.09 – Payal and Kunal’s Engagement

April 6th, 2009

The wedding season is coming around and what better way to start the season than with a engagement party. This was no ordinary engagement party, it compares to most people’s weddings! Payal & Kunal got engaged at the Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle, New York. The mansion is amazing! The hall is well maintained, with huge floor to ceiling windows overseeing the Long Island Sound. Just a short walk out of their venue and you are on the beach. This place is great for photos! Payal and Kunal are a great looking couple with chemistry that is very easy to see. They were a breeze to photograph. Check out some snaps from the evening:

50 is the new 30, and nobody proved it better than Anil. His surprise 50th birthday party had it all, amazing food, premium open bar, belly dancers, live music and of course, awesome dessert!

10.17.08 – Model Shoot with new Ring Flash

October 20th, 2008

This week we had 3 models come in to update their portfolios. I had the chance to try out a new toy, the Alienbees ABR800 Ringflash. I must admit, I got carried away with this flash. This is the type of light commonly used on Saturday Night Live’s photos. It leaves a distinctive shadow around the person and allows for very little no shadow on the face of the subject. Enough blabber, take a look below…

09.27.08 Sway’s First Birthday

September 30th, 2008

Kids, they grow up so fast….Take a look at some snap shots from Swayam’s first birthday. The party was held in Montville NJ, outdoors under a big blue tent! Kids were everywhere! To all the parents planning an outdoor party..get a moon bounce! The kids will jump around for hours and you are guaranteed a full nights rest as they little ones will be knocked out! This party featured a huge 3 tier cake, a pony and a bit of a casino theme for the adults.
