Friends:

Having been on both sides of the fence, we have a good idea of who we feel are the best vendors out there serving the South Asian Community on the east coast. We either interviewed or hired them for our own wedding, worked with them at our client’s events or competed with them on the same jobs! There are only a very few vendors that offer a level of service that is just expected for higher end weddings. These are some of our picks!

Video Services

The Shaadi Story – Video by Anoli Patel and her team of experts is much more than just a wedding DVD. Anoli directs an amazing production using a total of 3 cameras simultaneously creating a very unique viewing experience. They can create a mini studio on location and get very candid interviews with your family members that will be put together in what ends up being almost a movie format. It is like a documentary on your wedding. We have worked along side Anoli and her team and can only say good things about the entire crew. They are courteous, professional, innovative and they deliver. For couples looking for a premium service, look no further.

Twin Production – Sanjiv and Rajiv are two of the more well known vendors in the South Asian community. They seem to shoot quite a bit of volume and post tons of samples on their website for your review. Their shooting style is not the same as Anoli at Shaadi Story, but it is their own blend of candid photojournalism mixed with event documentary and general event coverage. They do put together some great clips, and lets be real, not everyone will come over your house to sit through a 4 hour DVD, so if you want to get it done well and want to keep peoples attention, hire the right team.

Music

Dj Sharad – He is undeniably one of the top DJ’s and entertainment providers in the industry, with world wide experience from nightclubs to ballrooms. When you are so versatile that you can walk into any place, just about anywhere worldwide and move the crowd, you know you are doing something right. I have worked with Sharad throughout the past 10 years and watched him manage and execute huge gala weddings and amazing nightclub parties and performances. He is capable of bringing in LED lighting, flat screen displays with photo slide shows and live video and even live music (dholi etc).

Dj Raj – Raj is a great talent and a professional by all means. His entire team is well prepared and they truly enjoy what they do. He, like Sharad, are on the higher end of the spectrum when considering a professional DJ. All of the equipment is state of the art. LED lighting will bring your reception to live and a nice monogrammed logo will set off your dance floor with a very unique and custom look. When service quality is important, always hire a pro.

Distinctive Soundz – A team of 5 young, talented artists put together this unique music experience. With 2 djs, a dholi, MC and a manager, these guys got it together. Known for their capability to keep a nightclub party going into the morning hours, this team also provides services for Weddings, Engagements and Birthday parties. Using their experience from the nightclub scene they can illuminate ballrooms with LED lighting and even a Video DJ service where you can dance to live mixed music while watching the song’s music video. These guys come with high recommendation from us at Pandya Photography for a great balance of quality and price.

Photographers

Now you may ask why a photographer would link other photographers on their site. Aren’t we in competition? Not so much…photography is an art form just like videography and djing. Everyone has their own unique twist to what they do, and with all art forms, our service is not an object. Photography is not an object, just because two people offer photography, it is not the same thing. Style, Personality and Experience play a huge role in how your photos will come out. Here are a list of our favorite photographers that we would recommend to those who feel we (Pandya Photography) are not right for their needs.

Sandeep Ingale – Sandeep is one of my favorite photographers on the East Coast. He has been in the scene for nearly a decade and has a very impressive portfolio. I enjoy his take on photography as he understand it as being a passion, and not a job.  This is the same way we see things, it is a refreshing feeling knowing that not all photographers that service the South Asian community are uncles with fancy cameras. Sandeep’s work speaks for itself. If you have not already, take a look at his site.
