This week we had 3 models come in to update their portfolios. I had the chance to try out a new toy, the Alienbees ABR800 Ringflash. I must admit, I got carried away with this flash. This is the type of light commonly used on Saturday Night Live’s photos. It leaves a distinctive shadow around the person and allows for very little no shadow on the face of the subject. So after much anticipation we finally got a small home studio set up. Lights, camera and…wait wait wait..what are we shooting? The wall? The backdrop? Me? No thanks. Some people have the looks like they belong in front of the camera, and others don’t…we end up behind the camera =). Good thing for me I have a lot of good looking friends!
